The 49th International Meeting of Naïve Artists in Trebnje formally started with an opening reception at 6 pm on June 11. In attendance were Patricija Pavlič, Director, Center for Education and Culture in Trebnje and Andrejka Nose, Trebnje Gallery curator. Also present were mayors of the different municipalities in Slovenia helping fund this annual meeting. Also present were friends and supporters of Trebnje Gallery.

The opening program started with introductions of the 8 participating naïve artists and special guests. Then there was lovely flute and piano music, meet and greet with the artists, light cocktails followed by dinner at the Hotel Opara. Here are a few photos from that very special night.

Here are the 7 out of the 8 participating artists of the 49th International Meeting of Naïve Artists. The only artist absent was Denis Toth from Croatia.

A sumptuous dinner at Hotel Opara across the gallery where all participating artists were also billeted.
A lovely night, the meeting is off to a great start indeed!!!
