Kindai Uni students MoNA workshops (1 of 4)

A group of Kindai University students led by their professor Andrew Atkins is in town for a sustainability tour in Cebu. The Psychology Volunteers on Bikes, The Cebu trio of permaculture hotels: West Gorordo Hotel, Elicon House and Mayflower Inn and the MoNA are teaming up to give these students meaningful experiences during their visit to Cebu.

Here are some photos of the welcome workshop facilitated by MoNA’s Paulina Constancia. The workshop was intended to give the Japanese uni students tidbits of the local culture by means of an ntroduction to fruits and expressions. Paulina aptly called the session “Finger Fruits: (pun on Finger Food)…not too much, not too little, just a teaser…

GSK 2016 at the MoNA, part 11

Last stop for GSK visitors to MoNA was the LINUSAK Making and Free Tasting with Delia of Journeys Cafe. It’s a very simple recipe but requires a lot of muscle power. Some visitors were brave (and strong enough!) to try their hand at preparing this classic Cebuano snack. Others were just happy to watch and taste.

10-LINUSAK Making

Yum Yum Yum in the Tum, Tum, Tum!  Thank you Delia and Journeys Cafe for teaching us how to make LINUSAK. We hope to practice making this at home.

GSK 2016 at the MoNA, part 9

Ninth stop for GSK visitors at the MoNA was the Tasting station of Eliseo Artisan Gelato with free servings of gelato and flavoured milk.

Joel Lee, the CEO of Eliseo Artisan Gelato/JME Food Products Corp was present to answer questions about his new line of fresh milk products.

8-Free Tasting Gelato & Flavored MilkLocal favorites —Tsokolate, Mango, Ube, Macapuno, and Italian classics – Stracciatella Pistachio, Fragola— there was an abundance of delicious gelato flavours to choose from.

Thank you Joel Lee and Eliseo Artisan Gelato/JME Food Products Corp. for generously sharing with us your delicious gelato and flavoured milk products!
